Sarah is passionate about helping people heal, and finds great joy in watching her patients engage in their own healthcare journey. While some people may initially reach out for help because of pain or a specific diagnosis, others may “just have a feeling” that there is more to life than what they are currently experiencing.

Sarah found Chinese medicine while searching for options for her own healthcare. Once she realized the depth of healing that could occur, she changed her life and began her education.

Sarah’s Traditional Chinese Medicine education has given her the knowledge of acupuncture and herbal medicine which she can apply to many different physical and emotional diagnoses in order to find the best process for each patient. She graduated from Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2018.

Sarah also has 19 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist. Sarah gained experience in multiple settings, having practiced in acute care, trauma, ICU/CCU, Neurological ICU, outpatient rehabilitation with focuses on hand and the upper extremity, post-stroke rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, as well as return to work/community and home health. This experience allows for understanding of Western medical diagnosis/treatment as well as the ability to assist any patient through recovery from injury or illness, from the subacute phase to return to independence.

Sarah is also a student of Wisdom Healing Qigong, practicing for 3 years under Master Mingtong Gu. Qi Gong is an energy practice which is focused on removing stagnation.

“Where there is pain, there is stagnation”

This old Chinese medicine saying is true on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Medical qi gong movements have been developed for thousands of years in China for the purpose of healing and personal development. There are entire hospitals, and wards within hospitals, in China, dedicated to teaching patients qi gong, with remarkable results! Qi gong may be practiced for your own healing, and once you have learned the movements and sounds, you will always have a method where you can help yourself. The natural rhythm of the universe is a gentle expansion and relaxation cycle. Helping ourselves to expand our energy and relax is the basis of many of these movements, taught specifically for your individual needs.

Sarah utilizes this practice daily in order to have the energy to provide care for her patients. At some point, she hopes to become licensed as a teacher in order to bring this amazing energy practice to anyone who wishes to learn.
